Companies seem to be taking on the burden of changing infrastructure quite often these days. Twitter has chosen to reimplement their mobile-powering server infrastructure using Node.js this time around. The micro-blogging service had been originally built using Ruby on Rails. Some people have complained that was the reason Twitter was often down in the early days. Judging by the performances shown by Chris Bailey and Robert Dickerson from IBM's Kitura in this talk it might very well be the case… or at least be part of the problem.

Will we see companies make a similar move towards Swift anytime soon? I certainly hope so! 😜
